The amount of hair is variable from person to person. Removing hair from that area does not stop the body from producing hair in that region as far as I know. I've snipped away hair before and it grows back, but it takes time.

I know they make you turn your head and cough, but I have also heard that they try to stick a tube or q-tip type thing up the hole in the penis? Is that true? That sounds quite uncomfortable..

No, removing hair in a region shouldn't retard the body from growing hair. I looked up information about this and I decided to remove hair based on the little "research" that I did.

It'll probably take time, but probably not forever to get back to the "hairy" state again.
