I have had an obvious blue vein on my
breast for a while but over the past week
more, less obvious ones, have appeared. I
am slightly worried about them, if only
for me being vain, but do not know whether
it is caused by something or if there is
something wrong.
The only information I have found is that
this could mean pregnancy, but I am
definitely not pregnant.
Although I am only 16 my breats stopped
growing a while ago so I doubt it is
anything to do with growth... Does anyone
know what this could be?

Um... I developed those after my breasts
stopped growing. They aren't so bad once
you get use to them.

Blue veins on my breasts Posted: 07-19-08 01:02am
Aloha ladies,
I am extremely
frightened at this moment. I looked at
myself in the mirror and I saw BRIGHT BLUE
VEINS on both of my breasts! I have never
seen this before. I am NOT pregnant, nor
could I even possibly be. I had a full
hysterectomy about 3 years ago! Please
reply if you have experienced this or
similar. I am totally freaking out!I keep
reading that women who have had these blue
veins are pregnant or think they are.
Since that is DEFINITELY NOT my situation,
what is it then??? Has anyone else had
this happen to them? Please talk to me...
I am a 45 year old woman, unmarried and I
have NO children. Basically I am alone. I
would appreciate any help anyone can offer
to me.

This is very common. I developed them when
I was in my late teens and still have
them. They are not a concern. It can be
from a hormonal trigger like menstruation
or perimenopause. Your gyn should be able
to ease your concerns if you discuss this
with her/him.
