Ok. I have 2 removed. Pain for 3 days, then ok..

This was about.. 6 weeks ago I would say.

I am now having sore gum in the bottom tooth area.. And its bleeding some.. I can taste the blood, not spitting it.

With my tounge I can feel a small semi sharp point.. Got my parents to look at it and was told it looks like a piece of a tooth is still there and almost pushing through the gum.

Can anyone tell me if this has happend to you.. Why it happens? And how to fix it? Will it go away or more surgery?

Thanks a ton!

Chris

Yep, that happened to me. Sometimes that can happen. What it is is when they're in there removing the wisdom teeth sometimes bone fragments can result from chipping of the bone during tooth extraction.

Your body slowly works the bone fragments out and it can pop out into your gum area.

It's not a big deal, but if it continues and doesn't come out your dentist can remove it.

Don't worry, this happens quite frequently with wisdom tooth extraction.
