I actually had implantation bleeding on the day I would have otherwise gotten my period. I had extremely light spotting that only lasted maybe an hour. I'm not sure if that's the norm, but it's what I experienced. From what i've read, some women don't have bleeding at all. If you do, it shouldn't be heavy and shouldn't last long at all. You'll definitely know it from your period.
