I am 31 yrs. old and my husband had verocele repair in October 2008 (surgical repair done through the abdominal cavity). His 1st semen analysis in Jan. 2009 was just a little better than his pre-op numbers. I was devastated! No the less we found out we are pregnant the day after Mother's Day!! Now we are 8 weeks pregnant and have seen the heart beat on ultrasound at 7 weeks!! Don't give up! I am proof it can happen. My husband only had 49% motile sperm in Jan. 2009 and now we are due Jan. 2010!! Good luck!

Hi there. This is my first time posting. My husband and I have been trying to concieve for 7 years. He was diagnosed with a varicocele in July. He had his surgery on July 28th. We just got his 3 month results. The surgery really helped his motility. Prior to the surgery his motilty was at 15% now it's 55%. Great improvement that I am excited about. His sperm count did not change at all 55 million. Our problem was with motility. So I am happy with the outcome and hope to get a BFP.
