In the left window if it is negative you will see | (just a single line) and the same in the right window.

However if it is positive you will get a in the first and a | in the second.

(if you look closely at the pic it even has the diagrams in it to show you)

the vertical line in the "test" (left) window is a "control line"

while the horizontal line is there but faint and i'd have to say it looks like an early positive.

Clear blue is best if you wait until your period would be due if you're going to test this early you need something like first response.

But even so it does look like a positive

Definitely positive, the line would be horizontal if it was negative.

I dont think it matters if the lines are equally dark. Even if the second line is faint I would say positive! =0d

Well, the good news is, that if you are pregnant, you will be pregnant tomorrow when you can take another test. The difference between knowing you are pregnant this very instant and tomorrow is not very much. Especially since you seem to be trying so therefore must already be taking care of yourself and taking vitamins.

Take another test.

But you don't need us to tell you that. You'll do it anyway, because this test is unclear.

Good luck!

Lmp was 10th may thats why I tink it'd be too early for a positive result and it must be faulty

no, it wouldn't.

Ignore the right hand side window (it's a control) look at the left hand side window.
If the test is negative then you get a line in one direction only like this >>>> | <<<< if it is a positive result you get lines in both directions like this >>>> <<<<

do you know - well pointed out!!!!!!!

Now you've got me wondering.

I enlarged and enhanced the picture. It appears that you should always have the horizontal line in the test window "----" and the vertical line "|" is the decider (and then a vertical in the other window too)

so it would appear that the test in the pic is faulty the control line line "----" is missing - that should always be there pregnant or not.

Kia I agree with you....I think the test is positive, it's an akward test and really confusing at that.

If you have any doubts you can always get a different brand (digital is highly recomended (a little more expencive but a little easier to read))

also you can go to your healthcare provider and request a blood test. But for now you can wait until your period is late and then take another one. Your period isn't late for a few more days right?
