As someone who was undiagnosed for 5 years of pain, I highly recommend getting a referral to a rheumatologist and following through.
When my specialist didn't have any answers and I didn't test positive for anything, I didn't accept that it was all in my head. My imagination is simply not that good!! :d I kept charts of when I hurt more and how/where, as well as any unusual symptoms and what I did each day. It's a lot of work, but it really helped my specialist to diagnose me with now only stress-induced fibromyalgia, but sero-negative sle.
I hope that my experiences help those of you who read this. Anyone who has tips for helping me help my husband to work with my condition would really help me.
Keep smiling, it's better than crying (and it won't leave your nose all stuffed up and sore! :d )
