They told me the reading on my hida a scan is zero what does that mean?

A HIDA-scan is used for evaluation of the gallbladder's function, or to be more precise, the ejection fraction of such. A gallbladder ejection fraction less than 35% is considered abnormal. A gallbladder with such a low ejection fraction causes pain and may be removed surgically.
