My symptoms are a little different, b/c the doctors think mine is inflamed. But i'm pretty sure your symptoms are classic for the gallbladder not functioning properly. Let us know what the surgeon says. I might have to fight to get mine out if my hida scan comes back normal.

Good luck,
krystle

My Symptoms
Well my symptoms started out with horrible nausea, so bad that the thought of food made me want to go vomit..Slowly that got better...Was kinda on and off for a few days out of about 3 weeks. When I wasn't nauseaus & I would start to eat, half way through I would have to stop because of the nausea.
Then the pain started, under my rib on the right side. Slightly dull at first..Then it got more pronounced. At first I could only feel it when I was sitting..Then laying down & then standing. It got to the point where it hurt more than my appendix did. Today is the first day it has let up, so now my fingers are crossed that it won't flare up again.
I'm scheduled for a hida scan next friday to see if my gallbladder is functioning properly. I would not be suprised if it were, because they think that it is just inflammed. You can have flare ups of inflammation...On and off.
Two days ago I would of agreed to have it taken out, today i'm more optimistic. I have troiuble with anesthesia, and so the thought of going under again is very scary.
Also not sure if this is related but i've never had heartburn before in my whole life..And i've had it twice in the past month, only when I eat lasagna right before bed, so no more lasagna for me.

My pain is also like pressure, it feels like their is something in there trying to get out.

Good luck with your surgery.

i have the same symptoms as you. I am at 14%. I went to see a surgeon a few weeks ago and he told me he will not operate at this time because I am not experiencing any major pain. I am just uncomfortable because of the bloating and tightness on my right side. I can live with this. Maybe you should get a second opinion on whether to do surgery or not. Good luck with whatever you choose.

does this mean you had an ultrasound and no stones were found? What caused the inflammation on your gallbladder if that is what it is? I hope you continue to have a good streak I guess the only thing you can do is eat low fat and wish for the best. Good luck with everything and thanks for your help.

I've had two ultrasounds done, one at the very beginning of the pain & one in the peak of it. The last one I was crying because it hurt so bad. And I never cry over pain.
I'm not exactly sure what causes the inflammation..Just flares up, once its taken out, you can see how damged the gall bladder is. But practically every test you take beforehand can come back perfect.
