I am a 27 year old female, who had half of
my thyroid taken out 8 months ago. The
last time I had my thyroid tested was 6
months ago, which came back as normal (it
was 1.20). Here is the problem, i'm
still losing my hair, i'm constantly
tired, I can't seem to lose any weight,
i'm extremely moody. I am going back to
the dr today, but I had all these symptoms
before & my thyroid was normal, so
what do I do? What else could be causing
these problems?? Any response would be
great.

What Was the Diagnosis of Your Thyroid Disease? Posted: 01-12-04 10:43am
It is likely that more reasonable approach
would be possible if I know your
diagnosis.

I, too, had most of my thyroid taken out.
I am taking 200 mg of levoxyl. But I am
still tired. My hair has not fallen out.
I do have hashimoto's thyroiditis
though. You may have an underlying
illness. I would ask the doctor to give
you more tests.
