I've been having pain under my rib cage that goes into my back since june of last year. Doc ran every test in the book including cutting open my common bile duct and now he is telling me it is scar tissue from previous surgeries. But my amalayse levels are staying high which points to my pancrease which they say is fine. Now they want to leave me like this . Good luck

I am female currently going through the same problem. I have a constant left side ache right under my rib cage that radiates into my lower abdomen and back. They just found that I have a "wheat/gluten" allergy from a simple blood test. Now I have to have an endoscopic exam to check if I have "celiac disease." I guess this can cause a lot of gastro problems due to the allergy. 1 in 133 people have this. Four years ago I had a colonoscopy, ct scan (kidneys & abdomen), and anything else you can think of for the same pain and it would come and go. Now it doesn't go anywhere. I just started taking zelnorm for ibs 7 days ago. Can't tell yet if this will help, it hasn't so far. I also have a adhesions around my colon which could be the problem, but now with this wheat thing, they are looking in that direction. I hope this is of some help to someone.

I have ibs ;a constant ache in colon area ; medicine dosent seem to help much hyoscyamine was diagnosed for pain. I do drink a lot of coffee ;8 to 16 cups a day ;that could be a factor? Any suggestions?

hi I am having the same problem. Had it now for 1 year I have constant pain under my right rib . Had a scan last year loads of blood taken negative results I get indigestion also . My doc said he didn,t think it was anything to worry about ... I also get constipation I don.T go as often as I should . He has given me pain killers now for ibs . I have started to get the pains right down my right side now that goes round the back sometimes I get a pain in my chest that feels like a pulled muscle , went back to doc last week as my stomach feels like it is full all the time and when I bend I feel somesort of pain in my right side I cannot pinpoint to where doc thinks it.S. My spare tyre I can feel due to hysterectomy 3 years ago now I have asked for further tests edoscopy and camera down throat have to wait 5 months to go as thier is a long waiting list . I have noticrd if I drink loads of water I go to the toilet more regular sick of the discomfort.... Your not alone
