Hello,

i am a new member and I hope to get some help. I have pcos (polycystic ovarian syndrome) I am going to be 33 years soon and I have never been pregnant. My partner and I have been having unprotected sex for 4 years. I recently ordered ovulex online and I am hoping it would help me. I don't have regular cycles, they last approx. 14 days each time. I have all the signs and symptoms with relation to my pcos, I am overweight, have facial hair and excess body hair. I've been doing laser hair removal for about 6 months and I have seen a great improvement in the reduction of my facial hair. I would encourage anyone with similar problems to give laser hair removal a try. I used to wax every single week and had to tweeze in between. I am hoping to get pregnant because I am getting older and I am worried that I may not be able to have kids, I cannot afford expensive fertility treatments so my question is..........Are there anyone out there who suffers with pcos and used ovulex and got pregnant or at the very least got their cycle regulated? My doctors said there is no cure for pcos, I have to diet and work out regular to keep it under control. I try but it's very hard.

Thank you and good luck to everyone.

Extremely eHealthy
There are actually treatment to help with pcos. I have it as well. Metformin can be given to regulate your cycles. Yes, this is a diabetes medication but pcos has to do with your ovaries and insulin. Do some research on the internet and it will explain all about this. I would suggest consulting an infertility specialist (reproductive endocrinologist) to help you with this issue. Along with the metformin you can be given ovulation inducers to help you get pregnant.

Hello
i went to a fertility specialist and they put me on metformin for about 6-8 months. still nothing. they told me to work on my weight and exercise and all that fun stuff. i am on my second day of ovulex and my husband is on his second day of amberoz and i hope it works. are you also having problems getting pregnant? i went to barnes and nobles and bought a few books on how to conceive. they are giving me a whole bund of ideas and suggestions. i am on fish oil and folic acid now to help things along.

Pcos
I too have pcos, I had been prescribed clomid two years ago and this regulated my periods and made me ovulate highly, however gave no out come of pregnancy. On 1st May this year I had an Ovarian diathermy operation. (small holes drilled into my ovaries to stimulate them) I bled after the Op but have failed to have a period since. Ive now been sent a letter to see the specialist on tuesday.
I would like to know if any one else has had this op and the out comes of it?
I would like to wish everyone with Pcos the best of luck with their frustrating journies of trying to conceive.
and look forward to hearing from you
