Diaper Bag Confusion :?
Posted: 06-01-06 12:18pm

This may be common sense for a lot of you but it isn't for me. I'm taking the blue m&m for his first doctor's appt today and i'm not really sure what I should pack in his diaper bag. I mean what kind of stuff should I put in it. I know his bottles, wipies, diapers, a change of clothes and the changing pad. But what else do I need if anything? I mean it's this big bag cuz everyone says i'll need it that big but I can't imagine what else I would have to put in it.... Any help here would be appreciated.... I'm so confused :?

I always have a bag of stuff ready to go.

6 diapers
wipes
ready to go formula (if you're not breastfeeding)
bottles (same as above)
change of clothes
extra shirt for mama
a small plastic changing mat
several small plastic bags (i.E. Sealable storage or grocery) for soiled diapers
diaper-rash ointment
2 bibs
a spare pacifier if your baby uses one

as they get older the list changes.

Happy outing!

I bring the same as what's on blaze's list!! I actually went to walgreens and bought a cute, nice sized bag that would hold not only the baby's but my stuff. Like my wallet and other stuff. It's a mother trying to juggle a car seat, a baby bag and your own bag!!

The bag is soooo cute...It's got big green and pink pok-a-dots on it!! God i'm fashionable!!!

I always threw everything in the diaper bag! I was always over prepared and ended up toting around a huge bag of stuff I never used. ;) that was baby #1. With baby #2, I got a smaller bag - much smaller - and only carried diaper changing things, as well as one outfit. I was breastfeeding, so I didn't need to rest. A lot easier with less stuff, considering the car seat, the baby and blankets, etc.

Take whatever you think you might need in the time it will take at the doctor's office. And good luck at the checkup! ;)

Don't forget the mylicon drops!!!!!!

And when you give him them, turn your pinky "prints up" and rub it on his pallet..It will stimulate him to suck it down!!
