Hey
im not really sure how to explain this, but for the past 3months I have have suffered severe daily nausea. It all started when I picked up a sickness bug from my work (im an auxiliary nurse) since then i'v felt terrible.

My gp originally gave me domperidome, anti nausea tablets, which made no difference at all. I then had blood tests which came back normal, so my doctor said it would fade out in a week or two. Because I felt so sick in the morning I would quite often not have breakfast, so by lunch time I would feel shaky, weak, dizzy and incredibly sick. I then started fainting a lot, my gp then decided I suffer from low blood sugar and a stomach ulcer. I have started my new diet of 6 small meals a day and taking omazrepole for my stomach. This worked really well for the first 2 weeks then my nausea came back, I check my blood sugar when I feel sick and its usually fine.

However now I get a sort of dull pain in my upper abdomen just below my ribcage and in my lower abdomen (like constant period pain) I have been to my gp so many time now and i'm begining to get the feeling that he thinks im making it up.

Has anybody got any ideas or advice?? As this is started to take over my life, i'm 18 and im finding that I feel to ill to go out with my friends and I keep getting sent home from work. Everybody says that I look really pale so i'm sure i'm not imagining it.

Any advice would be super

I know a way that can help your appetite, try take vitamin b complex, u might not see the effects in first few days, but after a week, I think it will improve your appetite, and maybe your nausea problem. U can confirm with pharmacist.

I am not quite sure your lower abdomen prob.

Has ur doctor done an ultrasound? I had unexplained nausea for about 18 months when I was to get an ultrasound and they found gallstones. After having the stones removed, I was cured from thenausea for about 2 weeks. I have discovered my nausea is caused by anxiety. But ask your doc to chck that. And pains you describe sound like a gallbladder symptom.

Nausea
Try Lyrica, it worked for me, I no longer wake up nauseated as long as I take the low dose of Lyrica before bed. I don't know why it works, found out by accident when taking it for something unrelated. if I miss a dose I wake up nauseated all over again, when I take it I don't.

I have the same thing! I seriously do not even know what to do. The constant nausea for the past few months has been gross, but I've dealt with it, but now I've been so sick I feel like I constantly have to throw up, and the abdominal pain hurts like a mother. I've been getting migraines too. Please post if you figured out what it was and what you did for it :/

You really should get checked for kidney stones - either by xray, ultrasound or a CT scan. I'm a 17 year old female, and suffered from persistent and extreme nausea for well over 18 months, with no other symptoms. Doctors kept checking my bloods and giving me anti-nausea medication which never really worked, and said everything was normal and put it down to anxiety (I also used to suffer from OCD).

However, I got admitted to hospital a few weeks ago for severe abdominal pain and fever, and they found a 15mm staghorn kidney stone in my right kidney, which they said could have been growing for years. Please ask your doctor about possible kidney stones - if I had found out that's what I had earlier, it would have saved me a lot of pain and misery that I'm going through now! Take care x

I have had nausea for 6 years and also had higher abdominal pain. I have had multiple tests turns out that I have a hernia (of the oesophagus) and also I have an ulcer with acid reflux. I was prescribed dopamine and Nexium , but to be honest hasn't made much of a difference. Been on so many acid reflux tablets but it doesn't help. Just to to say it would be helpful to get more tests done, I had to insist as I was told it was anxiety and I know it isn't.

Constant Nausea (most of the time)
I am 14 and have had constant nausea for the past 6-7 months, i have had multiple tests run and have seen 4 consultants. One was an E.N.T specialist, but he sent me to a gastro specialist, who thinks i have some kind of stomach problem. I am now believing that i have a deficiency in vitamin B12 which matches all my symptoms. Since i have my GCSE'S coming up i hope i can fix whatever this is, as it makes life very difficult.
