I have this disease and was enquiring
about the anti vertigo medications you
speak of. I dont know of any such
medicine here. Anything is worth a try.
I have been dealing with this for 10 years
and at 27 it doesnt make my life easy at
all. I have had an operation and used the
meniette device, tried all the low
caffiene diets etc ... But nothing helps.

Hi, I too have this disease, and I
certainly agree, it can come up
on me anytime at all, the worst I havehad
was 3 weeks ago, after i
spent 1 1/2 hrs in the dentist chair, it
lasted 12 hrs,
my guestion is is
it a good idea to fly, or not, as we
realy dont know
what causes it, other than a build up of
fluid in the ear, is there some
pill, much like a water pill, that could
be used to help get rid of excess water ??
any ideas ,
thanks

In response to some med I am on to help
control the dizziness
it is called, serc, now it does have a
much longer name, but the is
all that is diplayed on my med bottel.
I take up to 4 a day, as each one is 8 mg
but it works, and certainly keeps things
under control
I am wondering if any one has any info
on flying with
this ailment, would appeciate any info or
experiense,
thanks karren

This illness is likely the case of my life
long problem aswell. Symtoms come around
after getting hurt, or getting sick etc.
It is surprising that noone has mentioned
PANIC ATTACKS though much in any of the
forums since the symptoms are very
similar. I have used many panic attack
management techniques to control the
illness. I have never used meds for it.
Like many illnesses, this is one that can
be managed when an episode does come
around. I mean there is definately a
distinct pattern. TRIGGERS.

Serc, (novo betehistine) is what the
doctor prescribed me... even though i did
not complain about any dizziness or
vertigo.
