I am a 61 year old female. I have terrible right rib pain. I have recently had an ultra sound of my gall bladder, right kidney, liver, and pancreas, I also had an endoscopy,a colonoscopy, and a ct scan. All fine.I keep telling the doctors it my actual rib cage that hurts not what is under it.I was just off work for three day weekend and it seemed much better. Now that I am back it is hurting again. I have been on the net looking up everything I can but to no avail. Oh I forgot to mention that 4 years ago I had lung surgery on that side.

right rib pain on surface
i have scoliosis and i am now using a little lift in my left shoe and since then i am having pain on the surface of my right ribs and the doctor says it is from my body adjusting to the new posture . he has told me it is surface and that is the only reason he seems to find to.
