Q: Back With a New ?

I think I posted on this site a few months ago about recieving an abnormal pap result. I went back for my second pap and the results came back the same. I'm now scheduled for a colposcopy in 2 weeks. I am so scared about what is going to happen and obviously what is wrong with me! I know that you all can't diagnose me, but does anyone have any advice? Also, it seems that a lot of women who have posted about getting a colposcopy are pregnant, and i'm still a virgin so how could that be possible? Is it normally the case? I just started my period on may 19. I'm so confused at what is wrong with me. I just need some helpful advice. Thanks ladies!

Well since your a virgin it can rule out hpv which will cause abnormal results. It's best to do all the tests and trust me some hurt like hell....The cervical scrapes are the worst. But it is better to know and catch it early than to just let it go. I wish you luck.

Yeah, my dr said that she did an hpv test just in case to rule it out. Obviously it was negative. The whole process still is a bit unnerving, especially since the regular paps hurt so much!
