Q: Sore On Labia

I've had a lump on my labia majora for a few days now... Maybe a week. I didn't think much of it, since i've had something similar in the past. It ended up being some kind of a cyst, it drained and went away on it's own.

This seems different though, it's not purpleish in color like the last one. It's more just red and sore and I can see white on it, like it's forming a head. It's very painful and it stings to touch it.

I also noticed today that I have a lump in my groin... Maybe the lymph nodes. It also feels painful if I press on it.

Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

I've never had sex of any kind, so i'm not too worried about any std's... I would have had to of gotten it from a public toilet if that were the case.

Any advice or help would be nice. I can't really afford to go to a doctor... So I will only go if it gets worse or persists for too long.

Should I try and drain it, put heat on it? What can I do to try and avoid infection, if it's not infected already?

I have no idea what this is, but if you aren't gonna go to a doctor, I suppose some things you could do to help... Wearing loose fitting cotton underwear, changing it regularly. Avoid touching it as much as possible, cos every time you touch it you'll be introducing germs to the area.

People say that plain natural yoghurt is good for vaginal infections, but seeing as it isn't exactly vaginal, nor is the skin broken then this is probably a useless exercise.

This isnt a professional opinion, and if it doesn't go away or at least shrink in a few days, definately go to a doctor.

Just to update, I held a wash cloth soaked in hot water on it and it started to drain. Gross yellow/greenish puss and blood came out and ever since it's been pain free. Now i'm just keeping it clean, like you said. It seems to be healing up fast ever since it drained.
