Hi everyone. I would like to know lung
cancer early symptoms (if any).
In addition, after how many years of
smoking is it possible for someone to have
lung cancer? I know that it depends on
how many cigarettes you smke per day, the
kind of cigarettes, the specific organism
etc but I would like some general
information. Thanks.

Anyone? Ok, i'll give some details. I am
19 years old and I smoke since september
2002 (almost 4 years). As regards how
much I smoke, that varies from none or
very few cigarettes to 2 packets (40
cigarettes) per day. The last 1,5 month I
feel some numbness at the left side of
upper back and some little pain on my left
shoulder not all the time but
occasionally. I went to my doctor and he
did stythoscopy of my lungs and heart and
he finally told me that there is nothing
wrong with them and that I justi have
nerve pains. I don't know why but I
believe it something else. I'd like to
add that I have no shortening of
breathing, no breath problems in general,
no cough and no chest pains.
I do not know what it is! Could anyone
give me some advice, information etc?
Please???

Greekneos,
whatever your doctor says is causing your
problems, you are courting death by
smoking and you might want to stop as soon
as possible. You are young enough to beat
the addiciton if you want to do it! Young
people smoke because they think it looks
"cool." then they can't stop when they
realize it's actually very uncool because
they've become hopeless addicts: tools and
stooges of the tobacco companies who want
you to be unable to stop buying their
deadly products. Check out some pictures
of people dying of lung cancer, and think
about how cool they look.
Sorry to sound grave but smoking kills,
period. It does nothing good for anybody
except the people who sell the
cigarettes.

Hi
there are different types of cancer.
Lung cancer and its treatment are given
clearly in the link and I got enough
informations about lung cancer while
surfing in the net. Just have a look to
know more about cancer and its types.
Malignant mesothelioma is a disease in
which malignant (cancer) cells form in the
lining of the chest or abdomen.
Malignant mesothelioma is a disease in
which malignant (cancer) cells are found
in the pleura (the thin layer of tissue
that lines the chest cavity and covers the
lungs) or the peritoneum (the thin layer
of tissue that lines the abdomen and
covers most of the organs in the abdomen).
This summary is about malignant
mesothelioma of the pleura.
