My due date was 3/31/06 but my doctor kept me on a prenatal visit because my legs were swelling up due to high blood presure. My question is i'm unsure when I got pregnant? On these following dates,i'll write with a question mark are the days , I was with my boyfriend:5/30/05?,5/31/05?,(period6/1/05- 6/5/05),i was raped on 6/11/05 while walking back home from work,i never reported it or told anyone because he kept telling me that he had been watching me prior to the incident so I was scared ,6/13/05?,6/14/05?6/19/05?,i was bleeding from 6/25/05-6/27/05 ?,6/28/05?,6/29/05?,7/2/05?,7/3/05?,7/8/05 ?,7/9/05?,7/18/05?7/19/05?,7/20/05?,7/21/0 5?,7/22/05?,7/23/05?,7/24/05?,7/25/05?, 7/30/05?,7/31/05?----i just told my botfriend of the rape because he claimed he thought the baby didn't look like him.......How long does a man's sperm stay in you to get you pregnant? I am willing to raise the baby girl regardless but i'm not sure if my boyfriend is strong enough to stand by me knowing that she might not be his. I can't afford to pay for the paternity test at the lab,so we filed for a paternity test through the court system and the state pays for it ,but if the test come back positive--he's just repays the money back to the court.I'm also scared if the results come back neg. Do they try and find the person who raped me...I mean does he have any right to have any rights to her.I've grown to love her and I don't want him around her if he is the father......Please help ... :( :( :(

Hey.. I'm really sorry for the late response. I hope you're still reading this.

I'm really sorry about what happened to you. If you don't file a report that you got raped officially with the police, there's nothing that the court can do about your case. The person who raped you was counting on the fact that you would say nothing and destroy the evidence (by showering). If you're unsure, there's not much point in trying to raise a child. Raising a child is hard work and requires lots of money, and if money isn't your best friend, I highly suggest (but not pressure you) for an abortion. It wasn't like you were uncareful about sex; you were raped and you should decide for yourself whether risking yourself and the baby to raise the baby is worth taking, and not be bound by "moral issues". No matter what decision you make right now, you won't be morally incorrect, in my opinion.
