i am taking 20mg of fluoxatine a day for postnatal depression,i have been on it for 3 months.i have just done a pregnancy test and its posotive ,i think im about 8wks.i want to know if its ok to carry on taking fluoxatine during pregnancy or should i stop straight away,and if i am 8 wks could it have damaged the baby.i have a dr app next week.

Depression During Pregnancy Answer A1000
Although there is no controversial data that warns against Floxetineâ's negative influence during pregnancy,you can consult with your doctor about taking a precautionary step and stop taking that medicine. There are no diagnositic exans that can reveal damage to the fetus at this stage of the pregnancy.
