I have recently been tested for the presence of cmv antibodies with positive results. No hgg antibodies were present. My question(s) follows: after I have developed hgg (protective) antibodies, how often will I or could I developed active cmv which would harm my unborn child? Second, do having fever blisters directly correspond to cmv?, and third, what are the risks of my unborn child if I do redeveloped cmv?
