I still live with my parents and I got a rabbit in the same room my baby will be sleeping in and my mom will not let me bring him down stairs because of cats and my dog I was just wondering if its alright to have the rabbit in the room when the baby arrives as long as I keep him away from her face and keep the cage changed? Thanx

I think it would be fine, except once the baby gets crawling as they *will* get in to the cage and might eat the food or droppings or who knows what. As well might get bitten...Even by a generally friendly bun.

You may want to talk to your mum about bringing the cage down. We had a rabbit and two cats and the bun ran lose at times and they never fought once. The cats learned quickly to stay away from the bunny (who insisted on trying to procreate with our cat).

If your rabbit spends most of it's time in a wire cage then there's nothing to worry about....Neither a cat or dog is going to harass it.

They really don't recommend keeping animals in kid's rooms.
