I actually burst into tears this morning because I can't handle the wait. I feel like my pregnancy is going so slow and it's not as exciting as I thought it would be ..... Some advice please....

Now it's even worse.... I went to the doc today and I have an ultrasound scheduled for june 29th. I asked if that's when we could see the baby's gender and the doc and the nurse both said yes. So now I have a definite countdown and this next 5 weeks is going to kill me.... Lol

It'll go by fast! I thought the 4 weeks before my ultrasound would drag by (and sometimes it seems like time is going backwards) but now i'm less than a week away! I can't wait!

So do you have a preference? I want a girl but i'll be happy either way.

I thought at first that I wanted a boy, but now i'm not sure if I prefer one over the other. My family has a history of diabetes and cancer (i was born with brain cancer) so i'm just praying that whatever my little peanut is (boy or girl) that he or she comes out healthy... I don't wanna have to go through what my mom went through with me. I had seizures and low low blood sugar. I made a cute little calendar at work today on microsoft word that counts down the days until my ultrasound. I think that it helps me to see that I only have 34 days left.
When is your appointment?

I'm hearing you!!!! I'm 14 weeks and I had an ultrasound on tuesday - I swear it's a boy from one of the pictures but i'm not going by that. I have an appointment with my ob in 5 days and thats when i'll book my scan and I dont think I can wait that long. Its going to be like another 4-5 weeks before I can find out what i'm having and I think it's going to feel like a year!

I'm 15 weeks and my doc is making me wait until my 20th week. I feel like i'm going insane too because I keep saying "him" and "her". It's confusing! Lol do some people find out earlier than the 20th week?

It is very hard waiting.

Megums: you said the pregnancy is going so slow. This is my second and I still feel the same way. The beginning is like that. When you are between weeks 16 to 22, you will feel the first flutter from your baby. You will feel it more often as the baby grows. The pregnancy will get more exciting at that time. When I was 7 months on up, I would actually see my stomach role as the baby was moving. It was so "alien-like" yet very exciting at the same time. Feeling your baby inside of you at random times will make pregnancy really interesting. I was a freak in that anytime my baby didn't move after three hours, I had my husband talk to him. It sure did make him move. Interestingly, when the baby was born and my husband called his name, lil' nate turned his head in the direction of my husband. It was the most precious thing in the world (sorry I veered off topic).

I recently had an ultrasound at 14 weeks and I have been analyzing it like crazy. The ultrasound is of higher strength than typical ultrasounds and I swear it's a girl but deep down, I know it's probably way to early to detect between a girl and a boy. If it's a boy, though, it's probably ieasier to detect earlier because there is no mistaking a boy. I am scheduled for another ultrasound in a week and I have read that you can sometimes tell by 16 weeks. I hope to find out at that time although it's a little early.

Good luck. I understand!! I am there with you.

Edited to add: opps - what a dork I am, this was posted long time ago. I was wondering why meg had a picture of a baby up. I was thinking that it couldn't be her first baby. I became very confused and then read the posting date after I wrote.... I guess she found out the sex...Ha ha..I am a dork!
