No I never have. But I would advise you to get on other form of birth control. The shot can really mess you and your fertilty up. That was the worst thing I ever did was be on the shot for two years. How long have you been taking it?

I have a friend that has had problems with this shot. Sometimes she would start bleeding way before the shot was up and bleed for weeks. Alot of people have told me how unsafe it is because it can last for up to three months. Thats not good to let that much blood build up in your body, I mean you have a monthly cycle for a reason. If I were you I would change to a pill there are plenty different types of pills.

Well at least your friend had a period the whole two years I was on the shot I had two periods. One once a year

She ended up having problems and after she got off the shot she thought her ovaries were messed up. Luckily they weren't, she ended up pregnant by accident. But was glad to know she could still have kids.

I've been on it for 6 months. But I was on it before and it made me bleed througout the whole time. I know all the bad stuff it can do to you. I feel like crap since i've been on it. Always feeling sick and stuff. Yeah, i'm going to get off of it. My shot is due on may 28, so i'm not going to get another one but I don't want to get pregnant again. So does anybody suggest any different bc????

Take the birthcontrol pill they have several types out. Just talk to your doctor about it when you go back :)

I just got on a type of birth control, because I had an ovarian cyst rupture, and the pill is suppose to help keep my hormones regulated. This is my first day taking them and honestly I feel like caca. I have been up all day sick like about to vomite if I even move. But I read the instructions this is suppose to be normal because your body has to adjust. And it also says if you miss a pill then you can just take 2 on the next day. So that helps if you forget I am sure I will end up forgetting, but it also says you will most likely be sick on your stomach the next day. I am already sick as a dog on one :(

the birth control I am taking is ortho tri cyclen, you an start out taking it which day you decide it has a pack of stickers that you just place over the sunday -saturday days. Which I am glad I started today thursday but I hope this sick feeling doesn't last all month.

That stuff was horrible I bleed for 3 months after my 2nd shot....

my first injection i bleed for about 6mths -not so normal
a year or two later i tried injection again and have had a regular bleed every three months bleeding or spotting when injection was dueish
didnt want to stay on it for more than two years at a time so i got off it and now im pregnant 6mths after my last jab
i thought it may have had a bit more of a lasting effect concidering the length i was on it -we are happy all the same number 4 on its way
