Nuva ring is good for 4 full weeks, not just 3..So you could just replace the ring every month, and you save money too by not having to buy the extra pills..

True, but I personally like the pill, and since my drug plan covers them 100%, it's not an issue for me. I just thought that it was a good thing to know for people who were happy with their current pill, but were thinking of switching because of the 'no period for three months' thing. I was quite happy when I asked if I could switch to seasonale, and she told me to just use my current pill as if it were seasonale for three packs.

Seasonale is in 'pretty packaging', and marketed really well, so it is definately high priced product.

I am currently taking alesse28 which is like seasonale or marvelon. I have been taking it for about 4 months now and decided to skip the placebo week and try the 3 month thing. The week I would have been on the placebo was fine until I had some light spotting about day 5. This spotting turned into heavier spotting which has lasted now almost 3 weeks. I can't have sex because of it- and I havent seen a change that says it will end anytime soon... My boyfriend comes back from vacation in about 8 days, and I dont even know if it will be over by then... :( this is really depressing, not being able to have any sex at all... Id rather not be on bc than have this... But I am hoping it will end soon... I dont know what to do really...

Just thought I would let you know it might not be as easy as it sounds.

Remember alesse is a 20mcg estrogen pill..Seasonale is 30mcg! Lower dosages of pills may be harder to skip periods on!
If you want to skip it is best soemtimes to use a higher dose pill.
