When sleeping i'll be awakened when I try to move. My left knee feels like it is broken( the pain on a scale of 1-10 is about a 8). I have to reach down and help move my leg to change positions in bed. Also neither knee likes going up or down steps or stairs, it hurts and is uncomfortable. Does anyone know what this is or what causes this?

seems to be cartilage problem, accumulation of excess sinovial fluid in knees. normal movement not possible but knees can be bent or straight very slowly. a urologist can be also helpful.
