I have a friend who has multible myeloma, and was told as the illness has progressed, that it was detected to late, and all the threatments he was given are not working. He had chemo and it did not worked on him, or only for a short time had bin on velcade as soon it was found to help, was on most clinical trial available and still now is in stage 3 of the illness. Right now he is getting 5 different types of pain killers and has started to take so many of them and is so dopped up by them he can't function and still has the pain.
Depression, and no control of emotions. He was told there is nothing to do anymore and it will be like this until the end. I just can't believe this and need an anwser to this. He was diagnosed with this about 3 years ago. Should he take this as the only opinion or check with a specialist threating this only.
Thank you in advance
