Has anyone else had this, or similar?
Last year I noticed whenever I played
computer games (the sims, etc) for too
long (maybe 2 hours or so) my brain and
eyes would feel "sick". Like, almost
motion sick and like my brain was
scrambled.
I'd have to lie down and stare off into
space for up to 2 hours before I felt
normal again. Closing my eyes didn't
help. Made it worse in fact.
Anyway, as time went on, it got more and
more frequent and eventually if I even
looked at the computer screen for a second
i'd feel sick and have to look away.
One night I was playing the sims (which I
love) and felt weird but just wanted to do
one more thing, and then it actually ended
up bringing on a horrid migraine aura.
I was then scared to look at a computer
screen anymore. I got my eyes checked and
I have astigmatism which is the eye ball
itself is not a round shape as it should
be, but a football shape, so light bounces
off it in many places instead of one
place.
So I have glasses now and am now able to
play computer games for up to 3 hours
before I start to lose my mind and feel
"brain sick". But it still happens. I'm
scared eventually I won't be able to work
properly either because of this. Already
I work part time because of it. I can't
look at computer screens for longer than 5
hours without feeling like i'm going to
collapse or have a fit of some sort, or
throw up, or have a migraine episode,
etc.
Also, my glasses I can't wear unless I am
on the computer, as I can't walk around or
see properly with them, as the ground
looks wobbly and wavy and I have zero
depth perception...So I can't even wear
them at work.
Very weird and disturbing feeling. My
partner suggested it might be epilepsy, but
I don't know...Anyone have any knowledge
of any of this?
