This is my first time to this site. I have a question and nobody seems to know the answer. I am 29 years old and I have a 7 year old daughter and a significant other of 10 years. I haven't had a period in 1 year, it all started in 1996, I had my daughter in september of 1996 so of course I wouldn't have a period. But, then no period in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 til march and then no more. After I had my daughter in 1996 I was put on the depo prevera shot and I didn't have any periods on that. But in 1998 I had a blood clot on my brain as a result of the depo shot. And I was hospitalized for a whole week. After I was released from the care of a neurologist in february of 1999, he told me that I could never ever take any more birth control if I wanted to live. I have been to my regular physician every year for my physical and he says that I am too young to not have a period but he can't explain why I haven't had one. He also says that he thinks that I may have already gone through menopause. The thing is: we want another child and don't know if we can have another one as of yet. Can somebody help me please?

Extremely eHealthy
You need to see a good ob/gyn & have all the necessary tests done including oestrogen levels - to determine what's going on. I can't understand why these haven't been done years ago!!

The other thing you might check is look up causes of failure to have period & causes of early menopause in a search enging like google or yahoo.

Good luck
