Yes, it is, because the problem there is not how many times you throw up, but the fact that you do it.
That indicated that something is wrong with you.

Maybe the problem isnt that your throwing up, but that your over eatting. I have done it before, I pig out too much, and then either feel guilty, or just gross because im so stuffed and want to get some of it out, need to release, but yeah you need to not over eat, that is a problem, if its causing you to get sick, a few times a week, I think thats a sign there is a problem, so try to portion yourself when eatting, tell yourself enough is enough, and if you do eat to much say well deal with it! Don't train your body to think it can just throw up when its full. Best of luck to you! : )

Exactly...
I think that, in the first place, you should think or maybe even make a list, of what makes you overeat, and then think why you throw it all up (if it makes you feel sick or if it's something else, like feeling bad, guilty, with no self-esteem,...).
It sounds to me that there's something more than just eating, because your motivations lead you to do something that you may not really wish and then to try to fix it you can do even worse without sensing that...

I agree with the above! Why are you overeating and throwing up? Are you trying to loose diet? Are you feeling bad about your body? Are you using food for comfort?

Yes mxgurlie it is a problem if u don't overeat and you only make yourself vomit on occasion. Bodies aren't meant vomit often at all. I mean ok in the last 5 years I have vomited only twice involuntary. Vomiting as little as once every 2 weeks or once a month is damaging. And even attempting to vomit or thinking about are mentally really bad for u. Like ok it took me along time to be able to really purge. And of course I thought well I am not getting anything up so I don't have a problem. Do u hear how dumb that sounds? If u r purging ever or trying or thinking about it u have a problem.

Your body is supposed to throw up when something is wrong with it, like when you are ill. If you do it for other reasons, that's a sign that you are going the wgong way, ok?
Remember that it's always time to stop, right?

It is a problem because it can easily spiral out of control. An accidental binge will soon turn into a planned binge and then you will progress to binge purge sessions that take up every waking minute of your day. It's not a pretty sight. The mental and physical damage that even these infrequent b/p are casuing are doing so much harm to you. Try and stop while you can because every day you continue, it will be that much harder to stop the cycle. If you cant find yourself being able to stop purging by yourself, seek out help in friends or family or maybe consider seeing a therapist to deal with your issues.
