How likely is a miscarriage? I don't smoke or drink. I'm 27. I worry! These are things I would like to talk to my mum about, but we don't really get on. Only five weeks gone, so haven't told her.

A miscarriage doesn't depend on us, it depends how our body handles it. I don't drink or smoke but, about a week ago, I started spotting brownish blood and oh.My.God. Was I scared! That week I wasn't even in town, I was about 2-3 hours away celebrating our wedding anniversary when I noticed that I was bleeding. Thank god it was due to a small infection I had plus, the hot tub I was in didn't help. My doctor doesn't recommend getting into a hot tub when you're pregnant. Something about the pressure and how it can cause some complications. Anyway, I am fine and thank god I am! It was a huge scare. I just think that we need to be prepared for anything, even though we don't wish anyone any harm or anything bad---in reality anything is possible. I am almost 11 weeks pregnant so, I am almost out of the "1st trimester". Thank god! It's been a bumpy ride. Wishing you the best in your pregnancy. How far along are you?

I am sooooo very, very sorry for your loss I to have been there twice and it is something you never forget but you still have to move on even though it is not easy and you can not live by if I would have, could have, should have, things happen for a reason and we do not always know the reason why.
The very best to you and all of those that have had to experience it!
