Fibro And/or Lupus Posted: 05-17-06 10:57am
I am 35 and have been to Dr. After Dr.
Trying med. After med. After several
years of unexplained joint pain and
weakness, I have finally been diagnosed
with fibro, but I am worried because my
grandmother died of lupus at a young age
and I seem to be getting worse as I stay
sick all the time, it is one thing after
another, and I am weak and in pain all the
time, I don't know what else to try or do.

I highly recommend that you consult a
specialist. See about a referral to a
rheumatologist. They are more likely to
be able to diagnose your condition.
That's how it was for me. Good luck.

It sounds like you could have lupus. I
would get a thorough check up from a good
Dr. Including blood work. I would also
keep a diary of all your symptoms when you
see your physician. I found that this
really helps me. I also keep track of all
my tests, dates and the results.

Absolutely see a rheumatologist. They are
better able to diagnose auto immune
disorders.
I am now in remission for two yrs but I
had a long battle with lupus. Pay close
attention to your nutrition. In fact I
recommend for folks to read "eat to live"
by joel fuhrman md.......He specifically
discusses diet and lupus. Cut out
processed foods, artificial sweeteners,
soda and don't microwave your
food......Microwaves destroy
nutrients....You need all the nutrients
you can get from your food.
