Hi - this is my first message. I'm 38 and i'm starting ivf treatment in a few weeks' time. I'm a bit nervous, so it would be great to have somebody who could share their experiences with me. Even the bad experiences - forewarned is forearmed, after all.
I'm pretty isolated where I live, and all my friends and family are on the other side of the world. My husband is really supportive, but he has his limitations when it comes to providing experienced advice!
I realise that these forums are largely used by people seeking advice, not those who are seeking to give it... But here's hoping!

Have you taken the shots before? Did you start with the ganatatropens(sp?). We did the shots three times to do artificial insemination, but I never made any eggs. If you haven't done the shots before I can give you good advice about the shots. It really helps if you ice the area for 5-10 minutes before the injection. Also if you lean against the bathroom counter or over the bed and relax your muscles it won't hurt as bad. You can massage the injection site lightly and ice afterward.

I just wanted to wish you the best of luck!

Mia
