Hi,

i am a 48 year old male my white blood count has gone from around 5.5 to 5.0 to 4.2 and then last week 4.0.

This drop has occurred over an year's period. I have high blood pressure and the doctor takes regular blood test I guess due to the medication.

The doctor ran a routine aids test, which I knew would not be positive, but they said it was routine and insisted. It was negative.

Should I be concerned? What do you think could make it go from 5.5 down to 4.0 in a year's time? I have been on the atkins type diet and I have been stressed to the max the last four or five months, but I don't know if they would effect it. Should I be worried... Cancer.. Or something like that?!?!?

Thank you so much for any help! Ray
