Q: Question About Headache

Two days ago, I started having stabbing headaches in the back of my head. It's on the left side of my head, not really directly in the back but more like in between the back of my head and my left ear.

The headaches last for about 5-10 seconds, just a stabbing severe pain and then they're gone. Sometimes they happen several times together or spread out.

Does anyone know why this might be happening and what I should do about it?

I had those same pains. I went to the doctor and she told me they were due to stress. Maybe you should take some tension headache pills

Shulamit - what you said worries me, if you're going to post be helpful don't leave people who have come here for help thinking all sorts of terrible things when maybe you didn't have anything terrible - if you can't suggest then don't post & especially not if your post will just cause stress.

See a dr, could be stress or an ear or middle ear infection. Fo you have any (any!!) other symptoms??

I'm Sorry!!!
I really didn't mean any ill! I didn't notice how it sounded -english is not my mother tongue-. Those are the symptoms with which my ms started. I didn't want to say that precisely not to scare anyone since it can be anything else.
I really apologize

Shulamit,

given that english is hot your first language relax, imagine what a mess we'd make if we were trying to write in hebrew!!!!

But i'm glad you explained, it's actually better to know what might be worth checking than to be left in the dark which leaves our imagnations to really run riot & also means we can't ask our dr to check whatever it is out.

Hope all goes well with the operation - although I think it's a weird concept - I would love to hear the outcome as my husband has so much sinus trouble - he's being checked for sleep apnea etc at the moment.
