Q: Stopping the Pill

:) my husband and I want to start trying to get pregnant but I am unsure when to stop the pill and what happens when you stop. Will I get a period straight away? When will I ovulate? I am 29 and have been on the pill for 5 years. I have always had regular periods and a normal cycle.

Finish them like you normally would just do not start another pack. But make sure you finish your whole pack like normal, because if not it could throw your cycle off. You may ovulate right away or it could take 3-6 months before you ovulate. It all depends on your body. Some women are lucky and get pregnant as soon as they stop the pill.
