I don't know if anyone can help me, but yesterday I had a tooth extraction and afterwards I was in more pain than I was in before it was taken out. I had to take three vicodin(every 4 hours) just to get rid of the pain. I expected there to be pain, but it is almost umbearable. Can anyone give me some info? Embarassed

By the way I am in pain .. I didnt have pain with the tooth..Now that its pulled..I have pain and and I have sensitivity to hot and cold foods....

I found out the abscess I had on my gum could have been drained. The dentist was in the wrong, he just wanted to make money so I could have it pulled and get a bridge or implant put in..Which is a lot of money for him

i am not sure what tooth it is. Wow I can' t believe the dentist would do that. I'm going to have a bridge put in too. They told me it would be about 2000 dollar to put in. I went to two dentist thought and they told me that if it was not removed it could brake and my whole face could swell up. Now that the tooth is out just the right side of my face is swollen.Lol

Thats what the crook dentist told me too, that my face would be swollen but the other dentist I saw later on told me they all say that..That the last thing u want to do is remove the tooth..Always save it, drain the abscess or get antibiotics..Do not remove unless there is no hope, that is the last resort.

Have a implant put in not bridge..If its only one tooth..Because for the bridge, they have to shave down the 2 teeth in front and back and crown them for the bridge..But with the implant, its one tooth they can put in with titanium and it stays in and you wont have to ruin your other teeth..

Does the implaint hurt? The tooth next to the one that was taken out has to have a crown put on it so I was thinking of a bridge, but now I think I will go for the bridge. The sad thing is that i'm only 18, and if what you say is true the dentist really screwed me over. Evil or Very Mad
