Oscar as in oscar the grouch. I am not soo sure I would name him oscar. That is why I didnt' name my first baby ethan allen, too much with the furnature store. Make sure you think about what your little guy will have to face with the name that is associated with a grouch or a couch in my case.

Dont' get me wrong but I do like the name oscar.....Just the association could take a tole on the little skoot.

That's where i'm torn. I *love* the name jemima but I don't want people to associate it with aunt jemima. I think the name would fly in the uk but not here in america. I love love love it though.

My daughter is going to be named .Amelia, and my little sister keeps refering to her as amelia badelia. Thats cute. But a lot of people are like amelia as in amelia island. Thats a place here in florida. The island is said to be haunted by a ghost who died in a major hotel there.

But hey, that hasnt' made me change my mind.

So if you like oscar go with it.
