Mothers Day
Posted: 05-13-06 17:49pm

What are you all doing for mothers day? I figured i'd post a topic about it since you all are mothers :p

i got my mom a grey statue, it's of a little boy and girl making a sand castle, and their swimming suits and sand shovel are blue, its really cute. Then I got her a birthday card (ahah didn't notice this til I got it home) and reeses peanut butter cups (she loves them) to put in a little pink bag with tissue paper. I also got her a single red rose which is really pretty and i'm writing down a poem to give her. I think it's pretty.

A mother who loves
a mother who cares
a mother who never fails
to always be there

we've shared our laughs
we've had our cries
but together we manage
to always get by

your love and support
through all these years
has given me strength
to see through my tears

to accomplish my goals
and make you proud
to be different than others
stand out in a crowd

without you I would not
be who I am today
you'll always be my hero
forever and a day

i don't think you realise
how amazing you really are
amongst the whole galaxy
you are the brightest star.

I don't tell you enough
how much I really care
i'll always love you
and i'll always be there

it's a little sappy but thats me :p it made me cry lol

I just got my mom a card and a ceramic painted pitcher that matches her kitchen. And my dad is making a big family meal and my brothers are going to be there too. But i'm probably the only one who got her anything, that's how it always is.

I'm not a mom yet so I don't think anyone will do anything for me. I thought it would be sweet if my fiance got me a card or flowers or something but I know he won't. Although for father's day i'm getting him something (even though it's really for the baby). I'm getting him a onesie that says "my dad's tattoos are cooler than your dad's". It probably didn't even occur to him to get me something and that's fine.

Happy mother's day to all you moms!

Do you have boston terrier's? That sounds like a cute t-shirt. Hope your fiance buys you something after all you are a .Mom-to-be and you can't forget them.
Mom's are special people and don't let them forget that. My kids(young adults) will not let me forget even though they are far away.

Everyone have a good .Mothers .Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hcobrunette, that is a pretty poem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

i have one boston terrier. He's adorable and snuggly but only to me and my family. He's a beast around other people and dogs and would love to eat them. I'm hoping he'll be ok with the baby. I'd hate to have to get rid of him. :( you can see pics of him on my myspace but only if you're a member. Here it is if you want to see (and I know you do, he's wearing a cute hat!) - www.Myspace.Com/girlsetsfi re666

i was hoping to get a little something for mother's day but I know my fiance never would have thought to get me anything and I didn't want to mention it because then he would've only gotten me something because I said something. You know? But i'll show him when I get him a father's day present!

Aw that's cute =)

here's how much of a freak I am, I think soooo far into the future haha.

My mom is 42 right now and im 15 so in 8 years she'll be 50 and I think ill be 23. Hopefully by that time i'll be married and have a least one kid.

Well I was at wal mart (and my favorite color is and always has been pink) and I found a pink picture album and on the front it says "remember when..."

so i'm going to buy that picture album, and for her 50th birthday i'm going to put pictures from the time I was a baby, to a toddler, to a kid, teenager, to young adult, and when I got married and my kid(s) and stuff. I don't know I just think that seems cool. Lol im a freak I told you.

I got my mum a crystal carousel since she collects crystal pieces. It cost a pretty penny but she deserves it. She's the best mum in the world and she has helped me soooo much with advice and buying things for the m&m. I wanted to give her something really nice.

Bostonterrier. I don't know if i'm getting anything for mother's day either. I don't think that it would even occur to my hubby plus after all the baby stuff and my mum's gift funds are tight. But i'll let you guys know.

Happy mum's day to all the mums and mummies to be!!
