Im so annoyed. I had my 20 wks scan 4 wks ago n I really wanted to know the babys sex but it was moving around too much. I had 2 get up and walk around 4 10 minutes becoz it wouldnt stay still even 4 the nurse 2 find the heart beat (!) does any1 know if u could possible have anova scan afta 24 wks?
The baby hasnt calmed down at all since, its movin constantly (preparing 4 the world cup perhaps?) if I could ave anova scan I doubt id b able 2 find the sex yet again as it is still as energic as its father!

My personal opinion....It's a girl.

I was pregnant with 7 other girls, all due within a few months of each other. The only ones who were able to find out what they were having were the 4 of us that had boys. The 3 that had girls....The girls wouldn't stop moving or were "modest" and wouldn't show their goods on the ultrasounds and the mothers didn't know until they were born.

That theory again held up when my friend recently had her baby as well. It was a boy and she was able to find out no problems at her 18 week scan. I'm sure, had it been a girl, she wouldn't have known either until the birth.

:-d

to answer your question though, most women only have one routine ultrasound at around 18-20 weeks. Generally you don't get another one unless something is wrong. They're not going to do another just to try and find out the sex, sorry hun.

When I had my ultrasound, my baby moved around a lot as well. Tho she wasn't so modest. She showed us all her goods without any problems. On the ultrasound the technician wrote "girl parts" where she was showing off.

U could always go to one of those 3d ultrasound places. I paid 85 bucks just to find out the sex and get a few pics

To whoeva thinks I am a faker, think again because I have always and always will be truethful on here because I dont see the point of lying, youll always get found out in the end (sigh I cant believe im defending myself on here). I have always tried to help people on here and give advice. I just cant believe that you would judge people before you actually speak to them personally, bit lame if you ask me. I thought this place was supposed to encourage people to come on here and give advice, thats why I came on here personally and not call everyone a faker who they speak to. If you dont believe me just ask me any question and ill answer it truefully (as I always do) as ive posted my email address on here plenty of times before. Some advice, dont prejudge people.
To the people who gave me advice I give thanks and I am going to speak to my midwife and ask if it is possible to have another scan in my area as I am seeing her next week. But if I cant it really doesnt bother me anymore as I know the baby is healthy and I give my best wishes to everyone who is also pregnant out there xxx

Mum???:

nobody is trying to offend you, or be deliberately unsupportive. It's just that multiple births here often spark raised eyebrows, and we have to be suspicious. There are a lot of fakes on here, and as I was one of them once upon a time, i'm also bound to be suspicious to other people I think are fakes. I don't particularly think that you are, but I don't know you that well. If people are accusing you of being fake, it's mainly because we'd rather be safe than sorry.
