Q: Blood Test

Can you have a blood test come back negative but still be pregnant? I have heard that if you take one too early it will not show as positive. I had a blood test the first day I missed af instead of a hpt and it was negative. Af is now three days late... Still early I know but dh and I have been ttc for five months now.

Yes, you can have an incorrect blood test result. With my first pregnancy, 3 urine tests showed positive and the blood test to confirm the results showed negative. Luckily I was working for a doctor at the time and had his nurse call and ask them to reinterpret the results. Turned out I was pregnant, and they had just read the test wrong. However, sometimes it is also too early to even detect on a blood test. Good luck and keep us posted!!!!!!!
