Hi i'm 15 have a 2 yer old son and have
just found out i'm pregnant again. I have
spoken to my doctor and he has organised a
scan as I cannot remeber when my last
period was but I am really big already my
tummy has grown alot and I am worried as
when I was pregnant before it was twins
but I lost one so thats why I only have my
son.
What are the chances of this being a twin
pregnant to?
This is my belly.

Wow. Baby #2 already! You can only have
identical twins if that gene runs in your
family. But, there's a small chance in
every pregnancy of maternal twins.

it's fraternal twins which are genetic -
identical twins are a freak of nature (in
the best possible way) as it is when the
egg divides into two embryos then
continues to develop.
Identical twins being inherited is an old
wices tale.
