I am getting ready to start birth control pills and I had them mailed to me weeks ago and they did not get here in time to start them at the beginning of my period something happened with the order and they said it should be in monday or tuesday of this coming week. I had been told to take them the sunday after my period started but since they are not going to get here before sunday what do I do?? I need to have the birth control working by the end of this month so is it possible for me to start taking them whatever day I get them or does it have to be on the 1st sunday after my period? I am so confussed about this everyone keeps saying it has to be on that sunday...But why cant it just be the 1st tuesday after my period? Does it really make a difference? I would really appreciate it if yall gave me some advice on this I have nooo idea what to do. Thanks I really appreciate any advice yall can give.

Here is the deal! If you take them right when you start your period(, and sunday is easy to remeber by the way in case you are wondering why), you are protected immediately when you start them on your period!!

If you start them any other time it takes 7 full days of use to be protected!!!!!
