Bleeding During Sexual Intercourse
Posted: 05-11-06 22:56pm

Hi, I have been having sexual intercourse with the same guy for nearly a year now and everytime we have sex I bleed. Sometimes not a lot sometimes I bleed for days after. I have been to 3 doctors had 3 smears and they have found nothing.
We are both quite concerned about it. I dont know what else to do. Is it dangerous long term to have this keep hapening? Its really embarssing even though he says he is ok with it as long as I am.
Worried and scared!!

Infections, a tipped uterus, cervical lesions, polyps, cysts, endometriosis, hormonal imbalance, or built up menstral blood can all cause bleeding during intercourse. A pap smear alone will not indicate these other causes. If during your pap smear you were tested for any possible infections, the I suggest you go back to be checked for these other possibilities.
