This Is Stupid!

My bf's sister was on anti-depressants when she got pregnant and, of course, couldnt' take them while she was pregnant. But there is such a thing as counseling, and she is fine.

It sounds to me like she just wants some attention. I've never heard of anyone who is actually severely depressed running around telling people how depressed they are and that they'll kill themselves "without realizing they're doing it." that's just dumb.

If she really does have mental problems, she needs to be seeing someone to get treatment for it.

She needs to stop having sex (and maybe dump the jerkwad boyfriend), because she obviously isn't mature enough to handle the outcome. From what you say, she wanted to get pregnant the day she started dating him... How could you possibly want to get pregnant by someone you just started dating and be naive enough to think everything would be peachy?

I don't even know the girl, and I want to smack her....

Most girls like that thing those things. That it's all cutesy-wootsy and they'll be this fantasy family with a big house and a dog and a white picket fence and this baby that coos prettily at them all day and sleeps all night from the start.

Then they realize that they'd have to work for 15 years first to afford that house. They find out what a "mortgage" is. They realize that babies don't sleep all night from the start, they cry a lot and cost a lot and just really aren't "fun". And that their ideas of parenting are vastly different from one another and bumping heads isn't fun either. :roll:

which is why she's now considering an abortion.

That said. It is her choice. It's her body and her life and she'll have to deal with whatever consequences there might be for whatever choice she makes. Just because things have or are working out for you doesn't mean they will for her. If she doesn't want to be a parent, the best thing she could do would be to get an abortion. If she's really unstable, all the better as she probably couldn't even handle a pregnancy.

I don't believe that consenting to sex is consenting to pregnancy anymore then if you had gotten hiv when you had sex and came here for support and had a bunch of people throwing it in your face that you deserve aids because you were stupid and had sex.

Everyone needs support at some point. She needs it now. If you want to be her friend or not, that's your choice. It is frustrating to watch friends acting stupid, but that's part and parcel of having friends. Good times and bad. Smart times and when they make stupid mistakes.

How does he pull out, remove the condom, and then go on to put it back in her... Without her noticing what he was doing enough to stop him? Like were her legs completely spread and was she looking the other way while all this was happening? People seem to act like getting pregnant has only two solutions, keeping the baby and abortion. I don't know why adoption is always forgotten about. There are many people in the world waiting for a little baby to love. And a girl could make their dreams come true. Tell her if being a teen mother is such a horrible thing to look into adoption. Even though chances are she isn't pregnant from that one time. Bah, people are just person-s. (why the heck can't I write that without this stupid forums changing it. Agh)

Yeah I know, and she's a huge attention seeker. Even my mom has noticed it just by the things I tell her and my moms never even met her. She comes to me having crying fits all the time, but im there for her because shes been there for me through everything.

I just want something nice to say to her so she doesn't get pissed at me, like I dont wanna be mean or anything to her (even though I could slap her silly right now) but I told her I didn't have anything to say to her. I told her how I felt and she just puts up a wall between us and doesn't even listen to anything I say. Hello im the one on the pregnancy forum every single day, listen to me idit I know a thing or two now! Gr.
