I am considering taking a herbal remedy that has st john's wort in it as well as other herbs for my anxiety. I am on no other medication except the birth control pill. I have heard that it can interfer with the bc pill. Has anyone taken it before for anxiety or depression? If so what are the results and do you know if it interfers with the bc pill?

Hi bek,

i am taking st john's wort. Well I couldn't say it did wonders for me cuz its suppose to be a supplement and not as a cure. Not too much effect for me but it ranges from peep to peep.

I am not sure about using it with your bc pill, better check with a professional or at the pharm.

Hello
I've been using it for about 4 weeks and I can't say I feel better to be honest... I was quite hopeful about it but it doesnt seem to have been working. I thought "give it longer" as it is meant to take 6 weeks...

I'd say try it. Ive been on it before, and it may not help you feel that much less anxious but it does make you feel less depressed which all in all makes you feel a bit better.
