i have a 26 year old friend who has been losing hair for the last 4 months. He started losing large patches and decided to shave his head bald. His hair is growing back very patchy and is white. He's scared to see a doctor for this. I think it's important to note that he's been through some major stress: addiction to alcohol, treatment, jail time, and some other factors. He was also involved in a minor car accident (not alcohol related). He's scared it's cancer related. Have you ever heard of this type of hair loss and re-growth?
