I have been advised to have my gallbladder
removed due to polyps. Is it true that
polyps can be a precursor to cancer?I am a
44 year old female and often I have a low
grade fever. I also have severe nausea
attacks after high-fat meals. I have had
juvenile diabetes for 27 years. It is in
control with an insulin pump.
Thanks.

gallbladder cancer is very rare, and
by themselves, polyps don't cause nausea.
Have they done a hida scan with
gallbladder ejection fraction? You must
be fasting 4-8 hours prior to scan. No
opium based pain medicine (morphine, et.)
at least 8 hours prior to scan. Let them
know you're diabetic. You may have to
adjust your insulin.
Could it be diabetic gastroparesis
causing your problem?
