I had both knees replaced last november.
I was on pain meds for a long time and had
to switch to fentyl patches to get
long-term relief. I would say that I
felt "normal" again about 5 months later.
The pain is 100% better then before
surgery, but I still get stiff. I have
arthritis in other joints, which doesn't
help. I also get stiff if i've been in
one position too long, like sitting.
Usually I can walk it out.
Good luck to you! :)

I had my surgery 2 years ago of getting
acl and meniscus replaced. Pain would
not go away for 6 months. I could not
sit in one position for too long either
cause of stiffness.
A friend who started taking it 7 years
after he had the surgery on both his knees
cause of joint pains suggested taking
glucosamine with hyaluronic acid and
within weeks I was feeling much better.
There are numerous brands out there but
the one I take is called flexforce. The
site for it is http://www.Flexforceworks.Com
hope it helps.

I am now 4.5 mon.Post -op knee.I do water
therapy 3 days a week and get 110 degrees
on my own when bending knee while lying on
my abd. And 115 with physio,s
persuasion.Surgeon said 130 was possible
but physio said that depends on your knee
structure.I road my bike outside yesterday
for first time so am feeling good about
progress.Thanks for replies
