Post-op Knee Replacement
I had both knees replaced last november. I was on pain meds for a long time and had to switch to fentyl patches to get long-term relief. I would say that I felt "normal" again about 5 months later.

The pain is 100% better then before surgery, but I still get stiff. I have arthritis in other joints, which doesn't help. I also get stiff if i've been in one position too long, like sitting. Usually I can walk it out.

Good luck to you! :)

Post-op Knee Replacement
I had my surgery 2 years ago of getting acl and meniscus replaced. Pain would not go away for 6 months. I could not sit in one position for too long either cause of stiffness.

A friend who started taking it 7 years after he had the surgery on both his knees cause of joint pains suggested taking glucosamine with hyaluronic acid and within weeks I was feeling much better. There are numerous brands out there but the one I take is called flexforce. hope it helps.
